NORGES TEKNISK-NATURVITENSKAPELIGE UNIVERSITET NTNU

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is the primary Norwegian university in engineering and technology. NTNU is, however, a full range university. NTNU has a broad range of contacts with industry. The annual budget of NTNU is around € 933 million, 21% of which is externally funded. Total R&D expenditures amounts to approx. € 200 million. It has about 150 employees, including about 30 professors and 75PhD students. It educates annually 150MSc candidates and 15PhD candidates. The involved department has a long experience in participating in EU projects, and conducts research within automatic control. The research group cover the fields of: guidance, navigation and control of ships, autonomous systems, sensor fusion, and embedded systems.
