Dhaneswara Al Amien

Dhanes is part of the Centre for High Nord Logistics (CHNL) research group at the Nord University Business School in Bodø, Norway. As part of the AUTOBarge ESR13, he will conduct research on the Economic Implications of the Adoption of Autonomous Inland Shipping. The research’s ultimate objectives are to develop a conceptual model based on complex-system principles and to model socio-economic scenarios for ship-owner’s adoption of autonomous inland shipping.

He holds a master’s degree from the Chalmers University of Technology in Maritime Management and an bachelor’s degree from the Institut Teknologi Bandung in Ocean Engineering. He also has six years of working experience in the maritime industry.

His passion is to research the business and sustainability aspects of shipping towards the future.
