Project title/WP: Freight transport model with autonomous inland shipping application and environmental externalities (WP3)
Supervisory board: Prof. Q. Liu (UHAM, DE), Prof. G. Solvoll (NORD), Prof. T.A. Mathisen (NORD, NO), T. Brauner (LIH, DE)
Objectives:
- Multimodal freight network model, focusing on inland waterways with new technology like autonomous inland shipping
- Measure the impact of environmental externalities and behavioral interactions on economic performances of autonomous inland shipping
Expected Results:
- Behavior interactions derived from stated choice experiments and surveys
- Multimodal freight network model that is calibrated with real business cases with autonomous inland shipping technology and environmental externalities
Planned secondment(s):
- LIH (DE): Conducting case studies using surveys and real business information (M12-14, secondment mentor: T. Brauner) (joint secondment with ESR11)
- CUT (SE): Analyzing behavioral interactions in the application of autonomous inland shipping (M20-22, secondment mentor: S. MacKinnon)
